Family Educational Picnic in Kowala
Learning through games, experience and indicating on using science in practice and in everyday life, those were the aims of organized meeting on 24th May of teenagers from the area of the commune called: Family Educational Picnic. Parents were also invited for the picnic.
‘Rely on Family’ campaign in primary schools
On 17th and 22nd May 2013 within the campaign ‘Rely on Family’ in Primary School in Kończyce-Kolonia and Primary School named after Janusz Korczak in Kowala were organized preventive lectures with parents of students from 4th and 5th classes. It was led by Mrs. Izabela Kolanowska, an educator who works in the Community Centre Caritas Pallotyńska in Radom.
Responsible seller
On 13th March 2013 in the building of the County Office in Kowala there was a training for sellers and owners of alcohol selling points called ‘ Responsible seller’. The training was conducted by Mrs. Zofia Lemańska – a lecturer of Study of Social Prevention in Cracow. The training is one of the educational actions taken by the commune directed to sellers of alcohol products which aim is to limit the accessibility to alcohol drinks and to respect the prohibition of selling alcohol to people below 18.
Chlidren from ‘Szansa’ at the foot of Łysa Góra
On 7th May 2013 wards of the community centre ‘Szansa’ in Kowala went on a trip to Middle Ages settlement in Huta Szklana at the foot of Łysa Góra. This trip was a summary of project actions called ‘We`ll sew the future, we`ll model happiness’ which have lasted since January 2013, and have been organized within charity actions of ‘Bank of Children`s Smiles’ cofounded by the Foundation of Bank Zachodni WBK S.A.
Summary of ‘Cleaner’ Action 2013
Because of the World`s Earth Day, which was on 22nd April, a few days earlier, on 20th April there was as last year next edition of the ‘Cleaner’ Action, which was organized by the County Office in Kowala with the cooperation of the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala and Association of Supporting Development of the Kowala Commune.
Conference ‘ Respect-Protect- Don`t Hurt!’
On 18th April 2013 in Kowala there was a conference ‘Respect- Protect- Don`t Hurt!’, which main aim was problem of violence in the family. It was organized by Interdisciplinary Team with the cooperation of the County Office in Kowala, Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala, Primary School named after Janusz Korczak in Kowala.
Conference ‘Tools of supporting family – good practice
The conference of 19th April 2013 in Warsaw, was dedicated to realization of supporting family action, on the level of commune government based on resolution about supporting family and system of substitute custody.
Easter Fair
On 21tst – 26th March wards of the community centre ‘Szansa’ organised Easter Fair in the building of the County Office as every year. Clients and workers could buy Easter decorations handmade by children from the common room.
Easter egg’ in Senior`s Club
Seniors organized after Easter meeting in the community centre ‘Szansa’ in Kowala on 4th April, there were sweets and good moods to feel happy with close friends because of moments spent together and giving ourselves beautiful, spring wishes.

Two from four planned workshops in the Community Centre ‘Szansa’ in the project ‘We`ll sew the future, we`ll model happiness’ have been held from January.
Live healthy in ‘Szansa’
On 15th March in the Community Centre ‘Szansa’ in Kowala some workshops about health food in Profilactic program ‘Live Healthy’, which has been realised from February to June 2013 in out institution was held. In cooperation with State Health Care Centre in Kowala, Ms Iwona Różkowska who works there as a nurse led the workshops for children.
Summary of Easter Food Collection
Once again the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala in cooperation with school Caritas operating by Primary School in Kowala took part in All-Polish action of food collection in settlement with Radomski Bank Żywności.
Women`s Club celebrated Women`s Day
It was an exceptional day, unique meeting, new experiences and plans for the future. It took place on 8th March at 2.00 p.m. in Community Centre ‘Szansa’.

Colours of Volunteer work XIIIth edition- Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala honoured
On Saturday 2nd March we got to know the winners of the XIIIth edition of ‘Colours of volunteer work’ competition organized by All-Polish network of Volunteer Centres.
Festive gala took place in the theatre room of Białołęcki Culture Centre in Warsaw. More than 200 people came. They were applauding winners, honoured volunteers by the President of the Republic of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski and organizations which got the title of the Friendly Organization to Volunteers.
Women`s day in poetry climate
Gallant men, elegant women, solemnly decorated table, flowers, celebration atmosphere. Women`s Day was celebrated on 7th March by the Senior Club in the Community Centre ‘Szansa’. The manager of the Local Social Welfare Centre wished everybody satisfaction from men and a smile on every day. An invited guest, Ms Walentyna Pawelec from poetic Undiscovered Poetry Club ‘Szuflada’ from Radom made the celebration so unique
Social worker in the Primary School in Bartodzieje
On 5th March in Primary School named after Polish Nobel Prize Winners in Bartodzieje pupils meeting with a social worker from the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala was held.
That is way pupils had a chance to see a presentation named: ‘You are not alone….even if you are in poverty, illness, social or European orphanhood’.
‘Rely on family 2013!’
In 2013 Kowala commune once again joined to the campaign ‘Rely on family!’. Posters like: ‘Family- the warmest place in the world’ were hung in the kindergarten, schools from commune area, common centre, library, social welfare centre in January.
New ways of working with prisoners.
Next meeting connected with FREE project funded from European Commission- Life Learning Grundtvig took place from 26th February to 1st March in the Custody Suite in Radom
‘Drugs- I hate them’
From 21st- 26th February in Junior High School named after John Paul II in Parznice preventive workshops for 2nd class students took place. They were conducted by Ms Mirosława Grzeszczyk- the representative of health care, who works with drugs addicted people in Independent Voivodeship Association of Psychiatric Health Care named after M. D. Barbara Borzym in Radom.
The official beginning of the Vth edition of the project ‘Social welfare is very often effective’
On 12th February 2013 there was a briefing for the group of beneficiaries qualified to take part in the project ‘Social welfare is very often effective’. The project is carried out by the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala in a partnership with ‘SIL’ Association in Radom.
