Family Educational Picnic in Kowala
Learning through games, experience and indicating on using science in practice and in everyday life, those were the aims of organized meeting on 24th May of teenagers from the area of the commune called: Family Educational Picnic. Parents were also invited for the picnic.
The area of the unique activities was the Primary School in Kowala. Guests were Invited by the school just at 8 o`clock. Children and teenagers from all schools could visit such places as Crazy Alchemist`s Chamber, Magical Physics House, Muscles Gym, Brain Gym, Storm Chamber, Adventure with Nature, Robotics, Recognise a Liar, Writing in Metal, Installing Electrical Plates, Physics in Slippers, Chemistry in Beret, Non-Newton Mass and Jacob`s Ladder. What is more, they could drive with hovercraft, tried to challenge with crazy scooter, and could have fun in the game zone and look at rescue show.
It was the first, in our commune, such a big meeting of children with education in totally new version. The organizers of the meeting serviced almost 500 students by ensuring them attractions on a very good level and reason to considerate on science subjects lessons. There was also a treat and happiness especially when we were chasing for a running frog, we saw a volcano eruption, running bowls on the screen did not allow us to see the track on which they were running, strange mass was changing its shapes, we could drive a hammer in by a rose or a banana, under the water the most beautiful flowers were blossoming and we could by the power of mind drive a racing car. Among attractions we were looking at a humanoid robot Robonov, observing the world under the microscope, touching super-sticky fluid, observing levitating balls, light swords, Cartesian diver and intelligent donkey.
Some people left the meeting with visit cards, which were made by themselves and with the conviction that they witnessed a miracle, however it was only science which would like to make friends with them.
The picnic was organized by the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala, Primary School in Kowala and the County Office in Kowala and Association of Supporting Family of Kowala Commune, nevertheless many people especially those who presented shows within the inter-institution cooperation contributed to realization of the meeting. That is why we used from the help of Kazimierz Pulaski University of Technology and Humanities in Radom faculty od pedagogical science, faculty of mechanical engineering, faculty of materials science, technology and design, faculty of transport and electrical engineering, faculty of informatics and math, Integrative Schools Complex in Radom, Technical Schools Complex in Radom, Electronic Schools Complex in Radom, Mr. Mariusz Strzecha, Artur Bielecki, Volunteer`s Fire Brigade in Kowala, Independent Public Complex of Health Care Facilities in Kowala, Senior`s Club at Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala, students from Volunteer`s Club, the Head Master of Junior High School in Parznice, Reverent Krzysztof Jeżaka, Monika Chełminska from ‘Duet’ shop. We would like to thank everybody for substantial and financial effort. We passed the exam of cooperation with flying colours.
