Social worker in the Primary School in Bartodzieje

On 5th March in Primary School named after Polish Nobel Prize Winners in Bartodzieje pupils meeting with a social worker from the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala was held.

That is way pupils had a chance to see a presentation named: ‘You are not alone….even if you are in poverty, illness, social or European orphanhood’.

During the meeting children were explained some issues connected with the presentation. Issues like a knowledge about working of the Local Social Welfare Centre, who a social worker is, what a difficult situation is, how children can help people who are in difficult situation, what kind of help is given by the Local Social Welfare Centre were presented. It was also mentioned that we can resolve each situation, it is needed only to say about the problem. The social worker also explained how we can ask for help the Centre, what the phone no we can call for help is, and also told students the helpline phone no.

At the end of the meeting leaflets about the Local Social Welfare Centre about working of the Centre, ways of contact with the Centre, websites and help telephone numbers, Decalogue for parents were distributed to pupils.

We would like to thank the Director for the invitation and possibility to talk about the range of help offered by the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala, and Ms MałorzataWoźniak for her involvement and preparing the presentation.
