Seminar held on International Day for the Eradication of Poverty

International Day for the Eradication of Poverty provided an opportunity for various social and public services as well as non-governmental organisations to meet together at the seminar organised in cooperation by the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala.

Our destination was Pułtusk

4 October 2012 Participants of the project organised by the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala went on a training trip to Pułtusk, the oldest city in the Mazovia region. It was there where they practised their social skills in unique surroundings of castle rooms. It was there where, having completed a helpful training course with a psychologist, they could apply the theory in practice, particularly in the area of savoir-vivre.

Noble Crew this time in Kowala

Noble Crew is a pre-Christmas aid for those families who are in greatest need. It's a specific help for a specific person. We are facing a wonderful challenge - our Team is to be joined by 7,200 voluntary workers from the whole Poland. There are already 3,843 people who want to put the Crew's ideas into life.

World Heart Day in Kowala

World Heart Day is held to prevent cardiovascular diseases. It is the day when an important message is communicated: "heart is an important organ, take care of it!" We celebrated World Hear Day in Kowala this year with the motto: See the world through your heart, measure happiness with your heart, give love from your heart, invite joy to your heart.

KOWALA - mystery, history, legend, memories.

On 27 September 2012, the Seniors Club decided to save some memories about Kowala and hand them on to the youngest residents - pupils from grade IV from the Public Primary School in Kowala - while walking together with the pupils within the framework "Reach for the tops, discover beauty, share the good, become a better person."

Against drugs

From 20 to 27 September 2012, in the John Paul II Public Secondary School in Parznice, preventive workshops were organised for first grade pupils. The workshop was run by Mrs Mirka Grzeszczyk – a representative of Health Services. The subject of workshop was drug addiction prevention.

"Sober - healthy - together" - Preventive seminar

On 25 September 2012, in the Kowala Commune Office the 4th Family Meeting was held under the theme: "Sober - Healthy - Together", organised by the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala.

A training course from the procedure called „A BLUE CARD” in borough.

On 5 th of March in 2012 took place a training about the procedure of A BLUE CARD. The training was conducted by Robert Lemański – a person who specializes in counteract the violence. About 40 persons took part in the training.
