Against drugs
From 20 to 27 September 2012, in the John Paul II Public Secondary School in Parznice, preventive workshops were organised for first grade pupils. The workshop was run by Mrs Mirka Grzeszczyk – a representative of Health Services. The subject of workshop was drug addiction prevention.
During the classes with five first grade groups discussions were held about the definition of drug addiction, types of drugs, consequences and causes of addiction. Secondary school pupils took part in practical exercises related to the above subject, listened to fairy tales about an elephant named Jumbo and Jaś and Małgosia. Charts were presented to show harmful impact of drugs on the human body; the influence of the human fertility, both among men and women, was discussed. Pupils could share their opinions about drugs, and they eagerly did so. The discussion was very lively.
Finally, myths and stereotypes related to drug addiction were discussed.
Leaflets promoting "Responsible driver" campaign were also distributed during the workshop.
