KOWALA - mystery, history, legend, memories.
On 27 September 2012, the Seniors Club decided to save some memories about Kowala and hand them on to the youngest residents - pupils from grade IV from the Public Primary School in Kowala - while walking together with the pupils within the framework "Reach for the tops, discover beauty, share the good, become a better person."
Perhaps, inhabitants from the other part of our country could never have heard about our picturesque town. For us, however, it's a piece of heaven on earth, a paradise, where life has its own pace. Calmly, slowly, idyllically.
Nowadays, the young generation often underestimates the surrounding environment, they want to escape to larger cities as soon as possible. Often they are not aware of the mysteries and the history hiding in their little homeland.
This time young people were the leaders. Their papers were presented in between beautiful legends about important places in Kowala.
Route:
Żwirko i Wigura Monument
Monumental church and cemetery
The Łysak Settlement
Park
Primary School
Initially, some distance between the representatives of two generations could be felt, but after a while, thanks to an integrating "train" game, everybody forgot about it. By walking together we came to understand that, despite the age difference, those people are united by one thing - Kowala, their home. After the walk, everybody met at one table to have a meal. From time to time, the Seniors shared their stories starting with the words: "In my days..." We are looking forward to more such meetings!
The meeting was organised thanks to cooperation between the Seniors Club at the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala, the Association ofr Supporting the Development in Kowala and the Public Primary School in Kowala.
