Sputnik`s visit in Szansa

Sputnik visit in SzansaOn 25th October 2013there was a visit in Szansa. Volunteers who are also wards together with their educators from the Sputnik community centre from Ustronie District in Radom, came to Kowala to meet children from Szansa and to admire the beauty of our town. The guests were welcomed with a sweet treat –hand-made wafers. After first presentations of community centres and greetings, everybody went for a walk to sightsee. The most admired place was a hill Lysak, a forest around it, and a 'shell'- stage, where a legend about White Lady was read.

8th Recitation Contest in Szansa

8th Recitation Contest in SzansaOn 24th October 2013 in community centre Szansa in Kowala there was held 8th Recitation Contest under the name: ‘The moral written poem – poetry of Julian Tuwim’. For participation there were invited all primary schools from our community centre and kindergarten from Kowala. In the first stage taking place in 28 centres were selected reciters who faced with poetry of Tuwim.

Kowala Krajno KałkówThe Seniors` Club is known that loves to travel. This passion could realize once again. This time the debate, where seniors need to take a trip lasting for hours. Died many ideas, concepts .. finally fell unanimous decision of going to Kalkow. Prevailed argument that it is here is the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Sorrows, and October is the month of the Rosary prayer. The first point of the trip, which also should be mentioned was a trip around the world and it literally. Seniors for the first time be able to see first-hand St. Mark's Square. Peter, the Egyptian Sphinx, and Arc de Triomphe. Impressions come less, were really wonderful. The whole world in one hour? It is possible for our seniors, and only in Miniature Park in Krajno ..

Assisted by the action

Assisted by the actionOn October 10th, 2013 group of fifteen residents of Kowala commune went in the footsteps of Jan Kochanowski and the House of Czartoryski to Czarnolas and Pulawy. Check carried out under the County Support Programme Disabled and Elderly. History, meeting with monuments and beautiful nature allowed wonderfully relax and forget about the various inconveniences in life. This is the first such event.

We hosted the Radio PlusThe Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala welcomed October 7th. Guest of Mazovia Region Centre of Social Policy open arms and a group of assistants family. It is this new profession was in the range of interest, journalist with Radio Plus. The theme of the recorded program was: ‘New Occupation: assistant and coordinator of the family, after which arose who performs them, why are they so important?’ Our guests were Halina Guzowska-chief specialist of the Division for Human Capital projects and Barbara Bielak-advisor system project ‘Together for Mazovia-education in action’ MCPS staff in Warsaw. It was a good opportunity to show our resort, to share our small successes, a way to organize the centre, showing the competence, creativity and competence of many social workers, but also other employees, because each of them has its own unique and important place in the team of employees.

FamilyOn 8th October at 14.00 in community centre in Ruda Mała there was a prevention campaign Rely on the family. Sunny atmosphere conducive to the nature of the meeting whose aim was to emphasize the role of the family in life of every human being. The uniqueness of this event is not only sunny weather, full of warmth and joy of a place but also extraordinary people – families with children, youth, the elderly, lonely, people with alcohol problems.

The participants of the project are women from the community interested in self-development Kowala and active recreation. The project started dance workshops, which will last until October. Assertive senior

Assertive seniorOn 26th September 2013 the Seniors` Club members participated in workshops with a psychologist organized within the project ‘Flavours of Life’, in which Seniors participate from 1st July this year. The motto of the meeting was public speaking and assertiveness. Along with Ms. psychologist participants were able to analyse the stressful situations in which they find themselves, to analyse what is the cause and how to fight it. In addition, all able to share their own feelings.

The castle in Pułtusk

The castle in PułtuskOn 1st October there was organized a group of forty participants of the project realized by Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Kowala who started trip to Pułtusk with the intent to gain valuable knowledge and new skills. The aim of the expedition was the castle and Polonia House. Among the undoubted attraction of this trip there was a guided tour of the castle, participation in a lecture on good behaviour at the table which ended with a genuine examination and gondola ride. Weather and humour was good so we didn’t miss nothing so we could told that the expedition was a success.

The system of supporting families in Kowala Commune during the conference in Warsaw

The system of supportingOn 23rd Sep 2013 there was a conference 'Partnership in helping children and a family- the role of local societies and non-governmental organisations in new forms of active integration and fighting with social exclusion' which was organised by the Mazovia Family Support Centre. A representative of the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala was invited to the discussion. It was a great opportunity to share experiences with institutions from Mazovia Voivodeship and to listen to ideas and experiences of other institutions and non-governmental organisations. Prof. Jerzy Krzyszkowski, PhD, from the Department of Labour and Social Policy, Faculty of Economy and Sociology and Katarzyna Napiórkowska , the governor of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Department of Family Policy gave a speech. Elżbieta Kowalik-Wirowska, the director of the Social Welfare Centre in Mińsk Mazowiecki, Małgorzata Woźnicka the Director of the District Family Support Centre in Otwock and Dorota Polańska , the representative of the Adoption Families' Foundation were taking about their experiences.

Fertile crop 2013September 8th, 2013. greeted us with a beautiful sunrise, which happily accompanied us all the time, until the late afternoon.
