On October 10th, 2013 group of fifteen residents of Kowala commune went in the footsteps of Jan Kochanowski and the House of Czartoryski to Czarnolas and Pulawy. Check carried out under the County Support Programme Disabled and Elderly. History, meeting with monuments and beautiful nature allowed wonderfully relax and forget about the various inconveniences in life. This is the first such event.

The first point of the trip was the Museum of Jan Kochanowski Czarnolas . Thanks to the guides each participant knew the story of the life and works of Jan Kochanowski and customs and costumes of the Renaissance era . The renovated museum space allowed a look at the most famous works of the poet , and admire the paintings and tapestries dedicated to the great composer. The second exhibition Small Wawel is located in the chapel Czarnolas . It is a historical impression , talking about the Jan Kochanowski stay at the royal court. The starting point of this presentation is to move the climate and atmosphere of a Renaissance Castle , as one of the grander royal residences in Europe at the time . Coming out of the chapel should go to the old linden alley leading to the place where the tree grew famous poetry Czarnolas . Next sticking out of the ground a large , flat stone that its shape resembles a bench , on which, according to records, the poet had to sit so that the stone has a wonderful power , if someone sits on it will be inspired poetic vein . Around the historic complex court extends the nineteenth - century park Arboretum .

The next point of our trip was Czartoryscy Palace in Puławy, which origins are from the second half of the 17th century and are connected with the lordly lines of: Lubomirscy, Sieniawscy and mainly Czartoryscy. The participants seen the exhibition titled ‘Czartoryscy’. Then coming back to Puławy: showing the most important aspects of the history and cultural heritage of Czartoryscy princes. The characteristic element of the exhibition is a genealogical tree of Czartoryscy Family, which ends currently. Next we walked through the park to Gothic house and Sybilla`s Temple – the first national museum with Rome architecture. The beautiful architecture of the palace and the park delighted everybody.

The trip was organized by the Local Team for People with Disabilities, in collaboration with the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala.
