‘Sun’ during winter holidays

‘Sun’ community centre in Trablice ended winter holidays. Activities were very popular, because there came more than 30 children, children had the opportunity to take part in varied activities. There were for instance, sport activities, games with Klanza sheet, artistic activities.

Winter holidays in community centre in Kosów

From 28th January to 1st February there were some activities in Community Centre in Kosów, which aim was to organize children`s free time during winter holidays. On our first meeting with children, thanks to playing together children could meet with each other.

End of winter holidays with Szansa

The last day of winter holidays came. However it wasn`t the reason to feel sad. We decided to have fun till the end by playing, hearing about interesting things and gaining new abilities.

Fat Thursday and Winter Holidays in “Szansa”.

Day started with a remember, what is Fat Thursday and traditions and customs connected with it at our homes. It turned out that delicious delicacies are waiting for the majority at home. Encouraged these conversations we ate together doughnuts to be able to stain the mind in puzzles and quizzes which were planned for that day.

Almost like a gladiator

On the 6th February, we went to the cinema to watch a fairy tale ‘Almost like a gladiator’. We planned to eat pizza together and take part in cooking workshops organized by Helios cinema called ‘Owocowe soplaki’

Titbits Day

The last day the the first week of winter holidays we spent on baking. We got new abilities while baking aromatic cookies.

Kids in theatre

Next day of our winter holidays we planned a trip to Theatre in Radom to see the play “The Snow Queen”.

Christmas Party with a smile ‘dwarfs` world’

On 5^th February 2013, at 1.30 p.m., once again there was a Christmas Party with a smile. This time children played in ‘dwarfs` world’. 13 disabled children and 18 children (at the age to 6) took part in this event. These children are from poor families which cannot afford to pay for entertainment of the youngest children. Every child who was the participant of the party got colourful cup and personal cotillion.

‘Hat’ Carnival Ball 2013

On Saturday 2^nd February 2013 in Primary School in Kowala, there was 2^nd Carnival Ball organized with co-operation of many institutions. The commune head of Kowala patronated this event. The organizational leader was Senior Club, which is operated by Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala. Just before 7 p.m. the celebration started.

“Szansa” with a visit in Kosów.

On the third day of the winter holidays, we have decided to visit our friends from the community centre in Kosów, which is also organising winter holidays for children. We travelled to them by bus. From the bus stop, we went on foot to the day-room building doing a walk.

The 2013 Winter Holidays with “Szansa” are started.

Fifteen children who are attending to the Szansa community centre in Kowala are taking part in the winter holidays. The program is very varied, not allowing us to get bored. It includes a lot of trips, interesting activities and workshops. Everyone can find something for himself.

28. Grandmother`s and Grandfather`s Day

On 24th January there was a celebration for all grandmothers and grandfathers in Community Centre ‘Szansa’. Wards of the Community centre prepared artistic performance and some gifts for the guests to celebrate this moment.

‘Children in web’

A free training connected with the subject of children`s safety in the internet and cyberviolence for parents was held in primary schools in Kowala commune from 21st January 2013 to 24th January 2013. It was conducted by representatives of Police Station in Radom: Mrs Kamila Adamska and Mr Paweł Lenarcik and IT specialist from Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala Mr Ernest Sar.

‘We`ll model future, we`ll make happiness’

Thanks to getting bailout to project “We`ll model the future, we`ll make happiness” from WBK Bank Zachodni Foundation by the Community Centre “Szansa”, within the Bank of Children’s Smiles program, once again, we have a chance to give children happiness and possibility to gain new abilities.

Campaign “Bet on family!’ was initiated.

On 21^st January 2013, a ceremony on the occasion of Grandmother’s and Grandfather’s Day was held in Janusz Korczak Primary in Kowala. Ceremony was an opportunity to inaugurate campaign “Bet on family” in Kowala Commune. Wonderful performances of youngest pupils make grandmothers and grandfathers broadly smile. They listened to songs and poems performing by their beloved grandchildren with emotion.

Volunteers Club meets animal shelter and Pallotinum Caritas Common Centre

On 17 January 2013, group of 23 volunteers from Volunteers Club working in the Local Social Welfare Centre along with their guardians had an opportunity to familiarize themselves with activity of the animal shelter in Radom and Pallotinum Caritas Common Centre.

Meeting under the Christmas tree in Kosów.

‘Meeting under the Christmas tree’ for the community’s inhabitants, especially for children from Kosów, was held on 20 December 2012 in Community Centre in Kowala. Whole event was organised with the support of the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala, Voluntary Fire Brigade in Kosów and inhabitants of Kosów.

Fifth edition of the project “Social assistance often very efficient”.

The conference summing project realised by the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala under the name “Social help often very needed” co-founded by EFS POKL was held on 18^th December 2012. Meeting was held in the Community Office building in Kowala. Purpose of the conference was promotion of the activities stimulating people with difficulties on the work market as well as familiarizing with new methods of community integration and work with family.

Kołacinek- Polish Santa Claus Land.

On 21^st December dreams of many children from families taking part in project ‘Social help is very needed’ came true. It was one of the most wonderful day in year. Why? Over 40 children take part in a unusual journey to the Polish Santa Claus Land in Kołacinek. Despite the frosty weather, trip was very successful and full of joy.

First surprise prepared for the children was movie’s showing in ‘Bell’s Cinema’, during which children familiarized themselves with Christmas theme and then prepared together self-decorated Christmas cards. Then children with the Santa’s helper went on the square, where all of them, under the guidance of the Elf, flew a lightcracker from the special cannon- a star with wishes. It was especially important star to the sky.

Time of watch and sharing an Christmas wafer.

The Christmas Eve for people attending meetings organised by Consulting-Information Point for people addicted to alcohol and their families as well as for the other residents, who are in difficult family situation was organized by the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala.

There are treasures in Cracow.

On 16^th December 2012 a group of participants with closest families visited Cracow as part of the EU project ‘Social assistance very often efficient’. They found there treasures of the Polish culture, joy from being in family and closest neighbours circle, wonderful time graced by sunny weather, entertainment and unexpected attractions.

After reaching Cracow the group watched an animated three-dimensional movie for children “Dino Mama” in Cinema City theatre in trade-entertainment complex GALERIA KAZIMIERZ.
