Christmas Party with a smile ‘dwarfs` world’

On 5th February 2013, at 1.30 p.m., once again there was a Christmas Party with a smile. This time children played in ‘dwarfs` world’. 13 disabled children and 18 children (at the age to 6) took part in this event. These children are from poor families which cannot afford to pay for entertainment of the youngest children. Every child who was the participant of the party got colourful cup and personal cotillion.

A room in Community centre was decorated with colourful balloons, stars, lights and dwarfs. Every invited child was welcomed by the dwarf leader and his assistants- Happy, Sleepy, Dopey, Grumpy, Blashful, Sneezy. Young volunteers who were also invited , were teaching guests to dance in the rhythm of a song ‘She is dancing for me’ and ‘Gangman style’. For 2 hours the music was being played, everybody was having a good time, laughing, dancing and taking part in many games. The dwarfs leader recited humorous poem behaving like a pre-schooler, first form pupil, junior high school boy, and high school student. Not only did the children jump on the Klanza sheet, but also the dwarfs: small ones and the big ones too. During the party all guests were invited for a tasty treat- real jam! The party was finished with a smile, and children were given gifts by a dwarf ‘Dopey’.

Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala organized this event.it was fully financed by money collected from private people, most of the funds were given by kind workers of Commune Office in Kowala. We would like to thank You all very much.

(…)Krasnoludki są na świecie.
Naród wielce osobliwy.
Drobny - niby ziarnka w bani:
Jeśli które z was nie wierzy,
Niech zapyta starej niani.
W górach, w jamach, pod kamykiem,
Na zapiecku czy w komorze
Siedzą sobie Krasnoludki
W byle jakiej mysiej norze.
Pod kominem czy pod progiem -
Wszędzie ich napotkać można(…) /Maria Konopnicka/
