‘Hat’ Carnival Ball 2013
On Saturday 2nd February 2013 in Primary School in Kowala, there was 2nd Carnival Ball organized with co-operation of many institutions. The commune head of Kowala patronated this event. The organizational leader was Senior Club, which is operated by Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala. Just before 7 p.m. the celebration started. Guests were seated and could listen to sincere commune head`s welcome, who brought guests into celebration. All cofounders met on the dance floor: Senior Club Bartodzieje, ‘Wspólna sprawa’ Association from Maliszew and invited guests: Chomentowianki group from Skaryszew commune, and representatives of Lonely Hearts Club in Radom. More than 100 people took part in this event.
The room was greatly decorated. Hats, tulle, balloons, flowers and smiles- these created the picture of this event. It was colourful and joyful. Tables were full of dishes prepared only just by guests, which made this treat more tasty and unique. A folk band from Gózd, which was the gift of Senior Club from Bartdzieje, was responsible for music.
Not only did musicians play good music to dance but also supported vocal shows of talented guests. Each guest could present his repertoire. Very important moment of this event was the award of the competition to choose the best carnival ball hat. Headgears were original and colourful. To choose the winners was a very difficult task. Individual work and originality of headgears were taken into consideration. The leader of the jury, who is also the chairman of ‘Wspólna Sprawa’ Association delivered the verdict. The winner was Mrs Kiraga, the representative of Senior Club in Kowala, 2nd and 3rd place got the guests. The winners got beautiful gifts and the others got sweet consolation prizes.
We would like to thank everybody who helped to make the event more attractive and who created the unforgettable atmosphere.
