‘We`ll sew the future, we`ll model happiness’

Two from four planned workshops in the Community Centre ‘Szansa’ in the project ‘We`ll sew the future, we`ll  model happiness’ have been  held from January.

In January, wards of the community centre were learning how to sew. They got to know basic stitches and methods of sewing, which will be necessary in later activities. They also tried to sew flat forms and creating matryoshkas, and next using old socks and tights they made hand puppets and mascots. Unnecessary objects got a new life bringing much happiness in playing.

In February wards of community centres felted decorations made from wool. They started from demanding activities- forming balls, which later will become beads and bracelets. Next, they made brooches in a flower form. Most of the children were making decorations to use them as gifts for closests. Every gift was unique.

Thanks to these workshops children got new abilities, develop their talents and interests and manual efficiency needed in school education. What is more, they had a good fun and nicely spent time with friends.
