The official beginning of the Vth edition of the project ‘Social welfare is very often effective’

 On 12th February 2013 there was a briefing for the group of beneficiaries qualified to take part in the project ‘Social welfare is very often effective’. The project is carried out by the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala in a partnership with ‘SIL’ Association in Radom.

 The briefing was conducted by Ms Marzena Zawadzka Hernik- the manager of the Local Social Welfare Centre, who talked about the most important issues connected with planned activities and proposed support for each project`s group such as:

 

1. 1 st group – 8 people with problems of addiction

  

-career and psychological counseling

-self-help group

- commitment in volunteer work

-therapy

 

2. 2nd group – 10 unemployed people

 

- career and psychological counseling

- enterprise training with the elements of social economy

-self-help group

-commitment in volunteer work

- computer usage workshops

-social useful works

 3. 3rd group- 6 families with children supported by a family assistant

-family assistant support

- career and psychological counseling

 - improving caring and rearing province workshops

 

 4. 4th group – 6 young mothers with children

 

- enterprise training with the elements of social economy

 -career and psychological counseling

-computer usage workshops

-commitment in volunteer work

 

 5. 5th group – 5 persons at the age of 15-25

-career and psychological counseling

-computer usage workshops

-commitment in volunteer work

-social abilities workshops

-course ‘I as an animator’- gaining knowledge and practical abilities about animating local community

 

What is more, beneficiaries were informed about rights and duties of the project`s participation, about how to communicate with the project`s team and how to make proposals and needs while participating in the project

 

Next, the manager of the Local Social Welfare Centre gave the floor to the Partner`s representative – Mr Andrzej Bartosiak, who talked about his role in the project and shortly described the subject of the training about enterprise with the elements of social economy.

  After the briefing, project participants asked questions and talked to project`s team, next they signed declarations of participation in the project.

 

As the result of the briefing, 35 declarations were signed and reserved list of people who weren`t qualified was made.

 

A detailed workshops schedule will be given to each participant by the social worker, who leads social contracts.

43. Week of help for victims of crime

The chairman of Community Interdiciplinary Team, which operates to prevent from domestic violence, would like to inform that from 25th February to 2nd March, Ministry of Justice is organizing ‘A week of help for victims of crime’

 

The main aim of this action is to pay attention on victims` of crime needs and rights.

 

Support centres for victims of crime will take care of coordinating actions connected with celebrations. General Attorney Council, General Legal Counsel, General Headquarters of Police, General Headquarters of Border Inspectorates, Attorney General`s Office, National Bailiffs` Committee, State Council of Probation Officers got involved in the action.

From 25th February to 2nd March victims of crime will have the opportunity to get advice and information from lawyers, psychologists and representatives of institutions mentioned above, while their duties in Support centres for victims of crime from Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 6.00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10.00 to 01.00 p.m. The list of Support centres for victims of crime can be found at Ministry of Justice website and at www.pokrzywdzeni.gov.pl
