Unusual guests in Bardzice
On 7th June in Bardzice there appeared big and small, health and sick, red, white, yellow, green, blue, pensive and happy angels. Before every of them stayed on the route, the sky was cloudy, but with every minute of this unique meeting clouds started to disappear and at the end it started shining. All angels came to the Family Meeting ‘Angel Postmen’. It was on Friday morning at Primary School in Bardzice.
The meeting was started with a parade, which went singing through the village. At the head there was a poster with words written: ‘We Small Angels Help All Sick People’, then there were angels with beautiful flowers. The parade with smiles and in a good mood came to school square, where there was the head master Arkadiusz Bazydło, the master of ceremony, who welcomed the village mayor Mr Sławomir Stanik, councillors, village administrators, representatives of the Local Social Welfare Centre, Rehabilitation-Educational Centre with the director, parents and all inhabitants from Bardzice, Józefów, Gębarzów, Bukowiec, Osieka and Grabina. Just after the village mayor`s speech, there appeared wards from Rehabilitation-Educational Centre wards together with their tutors. They are unique guests and we were very happy because of their presence. Both young and older students from the Primary School in Bardzice presented a beautiful artistic show. Also boyscouts could present their show. Mr Stanisław Borecki, a poet, musician, author of songs, was the next. He is an angel artist, because everything what he presented was connected with angels. After the unusual artist we could listen to original voices, almost angel voices of the vocal band of junior high school girls from the Junior High School in Parznice. After that, there was the time for invited guests, seniors, who got diplomas and commemorative angels, and then together with children they flew balloons with wishes, dreams and hope to the sky. Letters with dreams were taken by angel postmen and for sure they would do their best to make the wishes come true. We were honoured to know a clown Angel Dot, who entertained the audience. There were disappearing balls, flying plates and other Dot`s attractions. On the stage there was also a folk band ‘Niezapominajki’ from Maliszów presenting a folk show.
During the meeting everybody could taste local bakery, fruit heaven, fantastic tasty sandwiches, delightful flat cakes and grilled treats prepared by parents. For the youngest participants of the Family Meeting there were many attractions such as: games with the clown Dot, activities at the table for strongmen, tootsies and turning plates. Children had their faces painted in fairy colours, then they ran to get balloon animals to play with them by the Klanza sheet. There were also sports competitions such as: pulling rope, relay races, throwing ball to aim, shooting goals, race in bags and many others. There was an artistic competition to make the most beautiful angel. Children discovered talents, as a result there were beautifully made works. The corner of writing letters was very popular and in result there is a big heap of written letters by children to angel postmen. The prize was to become saint, and got aureole. The next attraction of the meeting was a wet show of Volunteer Fire Brigade from Bardzice and Kowala. The meeting ‘Angel Postmen’ was finished with giving diplomas and prizes for children and drawing a prize for the family which registered at the Kind Point of Registration of Families within the campaign ‘Rely on Family’. One of the 58 families drew an angel with the help of father.
The leitmotiv of the meeting was the integration of groups of different age of inhabitants and breaking barriers between fit and disabled. Angels should help us to beak the barriers, who as postmen pass wishes of all people and get there where we cannot get, join hearts and break barriers. The Family Meeting ‘Angel Postmen’ was organized within the project ‘Social welfare is very often effective’ which is realized by the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala co-financed by the European Union, Measure 7.1 Human Capital Operational Programme, Sub-measure 7.1.1 Development and dissemination of active integration of the social welfare centres co-funded by the European Union through the European Social Fund. The co-organizer of the meeting was the Primary School in Bardzice, councillors, village administrators, parents and inhabitants. We would like to thank volunteers, people of good heart for coming and for help.
