Giddiness of Community Centre in Kosów
There was an II Integrative Meeting of community centres on 31st May in Kosów ‘Giddiness of Community Centre’. It was a celebration of all children full of smiles, games and music. Children form the community centre ‘Słoneczko’ in Trablice, ‘Szansa’ from Kowala, Dąbrówka Zabłotna, Kosów and ‘Zielona Żyrafa’ which is led by foundation ‘Chcę i mogę’ from Radom came to the meeting. A big group were inhabitants of Kosów encouraged by the smell of grilled sausages and music. In the programme of the event there were many attractions such as competitions and sport shows, dancing and singing shows and many competitions, games and dances.
The meeting started with the presentation of every community centres by a poster and shouts. Next thanks to flying colourful balloons participants were moved into a fairyland of games where a show of folk dancing of a group ‘Przepióreczka’ from Primary School in Kowala was waiting for them, sports competitions, judo shows of UKLS Kowala section and wrestling of a trainer Sylwester Kulinski`s wards from the Primary School in Mazowszany.
Children, especially boys could feel as fire fighters during the action by keeping a fire hose and directing the stream of water between two bollards. It was a difficult activity and required a help of professionals – fire fighters from the Rescue-Extinguishing Unit Number 3 from National Fire Brigade in Radom, which prepared the show. The bravest ones were trying on flame-resistant suit and got to know with fire equipment. The prize for careful listening was a short trip by a fire engine. An undoubted attraction was a singing show of Agnieszka Cygan, who sings in ‘Agnes’ from Radom. She delighted everybody with a warm, falling into ear songs and a smile which she gave while giving autographs. At the end of the meeting was dancing together in front of the community centre in Kosów. After that all visitors went with a dancing pace to a bus with the promise of meeting next year.
The meeting was coordinated by the tutor of the Community Centre with the Elements of Sociotherapy ‘Szansa’ at the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala with the support of other community centres. Aii attractions were organized with the kindness and engagement also financial of many sponsors whom we would like to thank.
